December 23rd, 2004
Well as you all know it is that time of year
again. People shopping like crazy, fighting over parking spots, and scraping
ice off of car windows. This morning it was -2 degrees, and for those that
don't know, that is cold! This year has been very busy for Brian. On the 10th
of this month Allison and I had Hanukah at our place in Iowa. It was a great
time as my parents came, as well as my cousins Scott and Ryan, and Ryans
girlfriend. Allison made the brisket and it was great (I cut it, so that counts
for something right?). The next weekend I was in Alexis, IL celebrating 2
christmas's in 2 days, and that will wear you out. This weekend I will be in
Alexis, IL again but it will be much calmer. The new year is right around the
corner as well, and as we all know it is that time when we make resolutions. My
resolution is to not make a resolution as they always get broken, just make
changes throughout the year. As far as my Golden Tee career, things are going
well. I brought home just over $2,000 at the Tournament of Champions in early
December, which brought my total winnings to around $25,000 for the year (not
all profit). I will be in Carol Stream the weekend of January 14th for a
tournament. If you are in the area be sure to contact me. So as you can tell it
was a good year in that category, and for those that do not know I was in
Sports Illustrated's November 29th issue. They were covering the tournament
that I won in early June, and decided to do a 4 page article on the last 4
years of my life. It is very detailed, but it goes to show the ups and downs
that can happen in ones life. Only subscribers received this issue, and I am
personally very happy with the article. Please click
here for the article. Now as you all know the bears ended their 3 game win
streak, and are now mathematically out of the playoffs, and like a true chicago
fan always says, "Maybe Next Year." Speaking of next year, it is
right around the corner, and that weekend will be my first weekend with nothing
to do since the weekend before Thanksgiving, I am very anxious for a nice
weekend of R&R. I wish everyone a happy holiday, whichever one you may be
celebrating, and a healthy and prosperous new year. Be safe, and be sure to
keep in touch. Be well, and until next time......Brian
