November 15th, 2004
It's the middle of November, and it's been
consistently in the 50's for the past few weeks here in the Midwest.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that is a holiday everyone in the
states can enjoy. I personally get off work early the Wednesday before, eat
great food on Thursday, off work on Friday, and watch football for 4 days
straight!! My kinda weekend, if only every weekend was like it. Speaking of
football the Bears have won 3 straight, and have a slight chance for the
playoffs, I don't know if anyone believes in miracles, but that sure would be
one. As far as Golden Tee goes, I pretty much have the month off. I recently
won $1,000 in a random drawing that was based on how many Hole-in-Ones
I made. My next tournament is going to the the Tournament of Champions,
which is the first Saturday in December. This tournament will consist of the
top 40 online and live tournament playeres in the country, and the player must
qualify or be invited. Each player is guaranteed $1,000 for showing up, and
based on how each one does, first prize is $10,000. That tournament will put a
close to a year that I will never forget in what I call my Golden Tee career.
One of the saddest things happened to me the first weekend of November.....I
lost my cell phone. I have had a cell phone for over 8 years and this is the
first one to be misplaced. Fortunately I have software on my computer that has
all of my family and friends numbers. I will be getting a new phone today
(11/15/04) as I have been going through no cell phone withdrawal for 9 days
straight now. Next Wednesday is also one of the "biggest bar nights"
of the year. I will be making an appearance in the north subarbs that evening,
and would like to see all of you, and to be honest that is only who I want to
see. Please contact me by
email, by phone, or which is mentioned in my last update, the new message
board I have set up on my site, so we can meet up and catch up on how
great our lives have been since graduating high school. One more thing to keep
you all updated with. I am not sure if you heard this on the news or not, but
the company I work for is currently being investigated by the NY state Attorney
General. There were over 3,000 layoffs recently and have more to come in the
near future. Right when you think you have one of the most secure jobs, the
idiots at the top of the business get greedy with money, and in turn have to
let go the people that do all the "dirty work." My eyes are currently
very wide open and wish my luck in finding something better and more secure.
Well I will leave you all on that note, hope everyone has a safe and happy
Thanksgiving, and don't go too crazy with the shopping the day after!!! Until
next time.......Brian
